Challenge

A newly opened restaurant needed a digital presence ready to support local discovery from day one. The website had to clearly present key information while giving visitors practical ways to reserve a table, get in touch and subscribe to updates.

The project also called for SEO and GEO-focused content foundations to improve visibility against local competitors. Speed was especially important: the full project had to move from implementation to delivery within a two-week deadline, without turning the site into a complex or difficult-to-manage experience.

A conventional, heavily loaded website approach would have worked against those goals. The build needed to keep the public experience lean while allowing the content layer to remain independent from the front end.

Solution

The site was built with Astro, Tailwind and Orbitype, then deployed on Vercel. This combination kept the public-facing experience intentionally lightweight while separating content management from the presentation layer through a headless CMS approach.

Development centred on the pages and pathways a restaurant needs at launch: clear service information, table reservations, contact forms and newsletter registration. Rather than treating these as disconnected utilities, they were integrated into the site’s core visitor journey so guests can move from discovering the venue to taking action without unnecessary steps.

The implementation also accounted for SEO and GEO requirements in the site structure and content presentation. The aim was to make essential restaurant information accessible to both visitors and search contexts, supporting local visibility from the outset.

With a compressed delivery window, the build prioritised a focused architecture and efficient front-end output. Astro and Tailwind provided the framework for a fast interface, while Vercel supported deployment of the completed site.

Outcome

The finished website gives the restaurant a focused public destination for reservations, contact enquiries and newsletter subscriptions. Its information architecture supports local discovery while keeping the journey from interest to action direct.

The project was delivered within the two-week deadline. The reported audit result was grade A, with 100% performance and 100% structure scores. Core Web Vitals reported an LCP of 344 ms, TBT of 0 ms and CLS of 0.

These results establish a technically lightweight foundation for the restaurant’s launch, with room to maintain its content independently as the business develops.
