Corporate website for sustainable residential development

Challenge

A residential development company needed a digital presence built from scratch to explain its approach, showcase its projects, and present a consistent image to property owners, municipalities, architects, and other collaborators.

The scope extended beyond page design. Publishing and operating the site also required a complete technical foundation: hosting infrastructure, a WordPress installation, server configuration, domain and DNS management, SSL certificates, forms, and reliable email delivery.

The website was initially built in an independent development environment. Launching it on the final domain required migrating the installation without retaining references to the previous environment and ensuring that both the root domain and its www variant opened the correct site.

An additional conflict surfaced during publication. Although the domain variants shared infrastructure with the development environment, a previous association caused one variant to continue resolving to the wrong installation. That conflict also prevented SSL from being configured correctly across the domain.

Solution

My responsibility covered the design, frontend development, infrastructure preparation, and technical publication of the project.

I designed the site from scratch, defining its information architecture, visual hierarchy, content layout, and responsive behaviour. I then developed its pages and components in WordPress using Oxygen Builder.

The implementation included navigation, the hero area, corporate introduction, working principles, sustainability positioning, project presentation, collaborations, and contact points.

I also prepared the hosting infrastructure and configured the WordPress installation on the server. The site was hosted on Infomaniak, while the domain and DNS records were managed through Cloudflare.

To complete the launch, I migrated the site from the development environment, updated internal references, and reviewed how each domain variant resolved.

Resolving the domain issue required identifying why the root domain and www version displayed different installations despite using the same infrastructure. I removed the previous association, connected both variants to the correct installation, and configured a valid SSL certificate for the published site.

The contact form was implemented in WordPress and its notifications were connected to SendGrid, creating an authenticated delivery path instead of relying solely on the server’s basic mail mechanism.

My contribution covered design, implementation, infrastructure, and publication. Information about the real estate projects, corporate figures, and business strategy was provided or validated by the company’s responsible team.

Outcome

The website was published on its final domain with pages built in Oxygen Builder and an experience adapted for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

The root domain and its www variant now point to the same installation, preventing visitors from being sent to the previous development environment.

A valid SSL certificate is active for the published site after resolving the conflict between the hosting configuration, domain, and former installation.

The contact form is integrated with SendGrid, enabling enquiries to be delivered through an authenticated email channel.

Hosting, WordPress, DNS, SSL, and email delivery are now coordinated within a controlled infrastructure. This makes technical maintenance more straightforward and reduces dependence on inherited configurations.

No verified traffic, conversion, or performance metrics are available. The confirmed outcomes are therefore the successful publication, operational infrastructure, working contact flow, and resolution of the domain and SSL issues.
